Introduction to Leadership Standards

Virtual Session, 1/2 day
Accreditation Canada’s Leadership Standards help Canadian health care organizations meet the growing demand for excellence in leadership. Based on research and best practices, the Leadership Standards address the leadership function across all levels of the organization. Participants will gain a better understanding of the key requirements for effective leadership, including: planning and designing services, creating and sustaining a caring culture, allocating resources and building infrastructure, and monitoring and improving quality and safety.

Learning Objectives
This session will enable you to:
- Describe the key requirements for effective leadership as reflected in the leadership standards
- Determine the role of leadership in the accreditation process

This Virtual session is facilitated by an experienced Accreditation Canada surveyor. Accreditation Canada endeavors to match clients with facilitators from the same region, and from a similar health care setting.
