Our Critical Care Services (CCS) standard outlines best practices related to the assessment, planning, implementation, and post-discharge follow-up of critically ill patients. During emergency and disaster situations, an effective and well-organized critical care unit to manage patients who need special attention is a vital point of patient flow and improved outcomes. The standard provides a quality improvement framework that is focused on key themes covering the full range of critical care, such as ICU, NICU, and PICU.
